Living Wisdom Daylong Retreat with Celeste Young and Ayurvedic Practitioner Julie Bernier:
Refining The Gateways to Our Innermost Being
Retreat offers us the unique opportunity to find refuge from the distractions and busyness of daily life and come home to ourselves. Join us for this special Living Wisdom daylong retreat in a secluded Malibu home. Recharge and connect with yourself and the world around you through the sacred practices of Mindfulness meditation, Dharma teachings and Ayurveda.
Mindfulness meditation offers us the opportunity to quiet the mind and open the heart, and to connect more profoundly with both our inner life and the outer world of the senses. Both mindfulness meditation and Ayurveda honor the five senses as a gateway to presence. In this daylong retreat, we’ll offer periods of silent sitting and walking meditation practice to attune the senses and deepen mindful awareness, as well as time for learning ayurvedic practices to strengthen the sense organs.
Ayurveda is a 5,000+ year old mind-body health system that teaches us how to take care of our bodies and minds while realizing our full human potential. In ayurveda, the five senses are considered the connector between the outer the inner world: our outer environment and our inner mind and spirit. Using the senses mindfully and properly creates wellbeing; using them improperly creates imbalance. In this daylong retreat you’ll learn how to strengthen your five sense organs and use the five senses in a way that uplifts the mind.
All experience levels welcome - whether you're new to meditation and ayurveda or an experienced practitioner. This retreat is designed to be accessible and welcoming to all.
