The intention of these sessions is to welcome our sangha (community) across time zones to practice together.
This weekly 30 minute guided meditation will be centered around deepening our understanding of the classical 4 foundations of mindfulness as taught in the Theravada Buddhist tradition. Each week we’ll explore a different foundation in meditation.
Weeks 1 and 2 will be centered around mindfulness of the breath and body (both found under the first foundation of mindfulness), week 3 we will explore mindfulness of vedana (feeling tone, exploring the pleasant, unpleasant, or neutral flavor of experience), week 4 we will work with mindfulness of mind, and week 5 mindfulness of the Dharmas, seeing through the lense of the teachings. There will be some time for a short talk on the theme as well. Stay for just the meditation and talk or join for the whole hour which includes a short time for community connection and discussion afterwards.
