Living Dharma Class Series: The Noble Eightfold Path

Class will be held online, via zoom.

Mindfulness is a powerful tool when applied thoughtfully in meditation and in daily life. In the wider scope of the Buddha's teachings, however, it is just one support for the cultivation of liberation and freedom from suffering, which is found within a larger path known as the noble eightfold path.

In this class series we'll dig a little deeper and explore the path factors of wise understanding, wise view, wise speech, wise action, wise livelihood, wise effort wise mindfulness and wise concentration and what it looks like to cultivate the path of freedom and liberation as a modern day householder, both in meditation, and off the cushion in daily life.

There will be time for longer meditations, instruction, Dharma talks, small group work, reflections and discussion to deepen learning together in community.

This intermediate class is appropriate for those students with meditation experience who have taken a previous mindfulness, Living Dharma, or Buddha’s Path class. Participants will be strongly encouraged to meditate for at least 30 minutes daily to support the deepening of their understanding.

Please note, this is a class series, not a drop-in group. Please sign up with the intention of attending as many sessions as possible to get the most out of class and to leave space open for other students who would like to commit to the full session.
