With so much suffering in our increasingly complex world, how do we find a way to live an intentional life that is an expression of our deeper values? The Buddha offered us 3 ways to practice wise intention: the cultivation of non-harming, lovingkindness, and renunciation.
In this class, we will deepen our commitment to Dharma practice through exploring creative ways to cultivate the 3 aspects of wise intention as skillful means of moving towards freedom from suffering for ourselves and others. We will look at how we can apply wise intention moment to moment in the service of our goals in life. Through relational mindfulness exercises, mindful inquiry, and meditation practice we will build a supportive community in which to explore how to live these timeless teachings, and integrate them more fully for freedom from suffering and greater well being . There will be time for meditation, teachings, discussion and some exercises to take home.
This class is appropriate for those students with previous meditation experience who have taken an introductory mindfulness class or a Buddha's Path class previously.
